Hello.
I have started taking a daily dose of Magnesium Citrate. Does anyone else do this? Some people on the various forums have reported that it helps with spasms. In my case, I would say it’s true. I believe it also helps with bowels and we all may need help with that. The only trouble is the size of the pill. I have less of a problem with swallowing than some but my pill is the size of a large wasp.
Best wishes, Steve
hi steve
i know what you mean about the size of some pills.
i have a multivitamin/mineral from MSSessentials and my sister saw me taking it and tried to stop me because she thought it was a suppository!
eww at least it isn’t a wasp!

Hi Steve, don’t you just hate big pills?! Buy a pill cutter from chemist and cut them in half. I recently bought some 400 mg ibuprofen online and they’re enormous! Have to cut them in half which means I may as well have stuck with 2 x 200 mg!
One word of caution which you’ve probably seen me post before…if you start feeling your heart missing beats stop taking the magnesium. I have ended up in A&E twice with skipping heartbeat and it was only on the second visit that they realised it was the magnesium supplement causing it.
I only take Vit D3 5000 iu daily.

Hi Steve
I also loath taking huge tablets, and have invested in a pill cutter, which has been a godsend.
I have been taking Adcal 3 for years now, and it was a big tablet that you had to suck, but now it has been changed to a tablet you swallow with water, and you’ve guessed it, it is huge to get down, cutter works a treat.
Hope all is well for you.
