Hi All Hope you are all well! I seem to have started getting stiffness and the occasional spasm in my back. It probably doesnt help that iv got a dodgy chair at work. Im finding it really painful and I was wondering if anyone knew of anything just to ease the pain. Thanks Sam xx
Sam I would say your employer needs to provide you with a non-dodgy chair to start with, one that can be set for the correct height and posture as well as stability. Bad posture at work stations will cause you, often without realising, to hold a correction without support leading to muscle and back pains. Good luck Paul
Thanks Paul Il get on to it first thing ![]()
i find a warm bath helps though i know heat seems to make things worse for a lot of people i do get relief in the bath
hopefully youll get a new chair
xx
Thank you. The other half is off galavanting for 5 days as of tomorrow so im going to have a good old soak in the bath tomorrow night! Might treat myself to some radox xx
I find yoga helps me. The gentle stretches and postures help to relieve aches and pains and I have learnt the importance of good sitting posture generally. There are also some gentle stretches I can do at my desk if I start to get some stiffness.

A massage is also good I get one weekly and it is heaven she really works me she’s noticed since starting my dmd I’m a lot more tense all over. She’s also fun and become a friend I swear it’s the quickest 1 1/2 of the week and prior to ms I hated massages. Em x
I never thought of yoga! But that sounds like a good idea. I love massages!! In fact Iv had vouchers for a spa for christmas so il make sure i opt for the back massage xx
