Stiff foot suddenly gone floppy, is it the MS?

Hi, sorry to post in this section as my grandmother had relapse remitting type of MS but she’s been bedbound, paralysed and tube fed for the past 10 years and this section seems more like what she experiences. My Nan’s feet have been stiff to the point we can’t move them for years. Suddenly this week one has gone floppy. The GP was phoned who stated it was the MS causing it, this diagnosis was made over the phone without any questions, she also says she can’t come out for a week as it was said her breathing is more laboured. I’m skeptical it’s the MS as I don’t trust the GP, her attitude is that it’s amazing she’s got this far so what’s the point in doing anything- this includes symptom management. I’m worried it might be a fracture as she was transferred quite a bit with a hospital trip for tube change the day before but before I start fighting to get someone to look at it I wondered if people had experience or know if it’s likely a foot that has been unmovable for years would suddenly become floppy (the other foot is still stiff) Thank you

Hi, I wouldnt be very happy with the GP eithe,r if she said she coudnt come out for a week and then diagnosed something complex over the phone!

It would be extremely unfair and unethical if the attitude from your nans GP is at her gae, shes not really worth seeing…that is appalling.

I think you need to get a second opinion.
