My councilor told me that me playing music is my drug to relaxation, I play everyday because I love taking a song and making it my own acoustic style. JMS if you were local I would come round and help you with it, I can appreciate its difficult but when your jamming away it doesnt matter if mistakes are made, I used to teach my friends but its getting hard and hard, and I will on teach people if they practice, if they dont I have no interest.
Thats amazing, I have played a few gigs locally in a few bands gorwing up, now I pla for enjoyment. for my 30th though I would like to throw my own gig.
Oh you so should. My Dad was a drummer in a band until his shoulder gave up …at age 65 ish !! Just a local band in Yorkshire but they were wicked. And my hubby’s daughter is in a widely known, famous pop group and about to embark on a nationwide tour. Nothing is more thrilling than being part of it…whether at a local pub or the O2 arena !! Fantastic buzz.
Well good luck to her is what I say, My friends band has had their music played on TV shows and are signed by HYPE music He was always amazing even as a youngster at 14 I told him he would go far and they are starting to tour Europe, starting in Paris, im so excited for them.
If I was being serious, I’d ask for Angels by Robbie Williams as I’ve always loved it and it was our first dance at our wedding. But I would seriously like to see what you could do with Gangnam Style!!! The song drives me insane as my 3 and 5 year olds love it and have it on repeat on my iPod!!! So anything you can do would be an improvement!!!
Please no Gangnam Style! (Sorry Emma!) Unless you want to leave it for a week that is not dedicated to me?
I love “Things can only get better” by D-Ream. I’ve always wanted it played at my funeral Very miffed that New Labour nicked it. I’m not exactly a political animal and would rather leave any association with party politics out of my send off
I had a look through my ipod and on the internet today and came up with various very soppy things that I’m sure you wouldn’t approve of, but how about M People’s “Moving on up”? I’d like to think that nothing will stop me
Otherwise, for some inspirational lyrics sop, how about “Impossible dream” or “You’ll never walk alone”?
And for some “isn’t the forum a bloody marvellous thing” lyrics sop, how about Carole King’s “You’ve got a friend”, The Eagles’ “You’re not alone”, Kate Campbell’s “Older angel” or KT Tunstall’s “Heal over”? Just replace incidences of the word “friend” with “forum”
There, that should keep you busy on you tube for a wee while
I will not be remotely offended if you choose something else btw. Well, except Gangnam Style
I can play most of them already so we really will see, I like the idea of Beautiful, and angels, I like there has been some RHCP and some Elton, No Elvis though, although never walk alone is… No Phil Colins, No jeff Buckley, Hallaluya is a beautiful song.
Again I can play anything from adel to buddy holly, Nirvana to Eta james, come on so many bands so much music. I find music is my key that and my wife so keep them coming
I really can try to learn to play anything so keep them coming, Im excited about this now.
AND NO GANG NAMNG FANG SHWANG!!! Although I have found tabs for it. not going to happen.
Hahahahaha!!! At least two of my suggestions went down well lol! I guess that’s what happens when you have a 3 and 5 year old in the house - the iPod gets filled with Gangnam style and blinking cBeebies theme tunes and they get stuck in your head! Can you do Postman Pat?!
We dont have any Kiddies, and I think I will keep Ipods seperate, by one just for there pepper pig gang pang stuff, I suppose he is like the crazy frog to some great for 5 mins then annoying and for others just always annoying.
1 day until decision time so Lets keep going! Also I am now off to my nuro appointment! will feel you in.
Separate iPods may be the way forwards…problems is, I tend to put mine on shuffle when I’m home alone, then suddenly after listening to my stuff, I’ll find myself singing to Kung Fu Fighting or Witch Doctor!!! Embarrassing stuff… On the plus side, my boys love Robbie Williams, Queen and the Beatles!
“Things can only get better” by D-Ream: the only problem with this is that Brian Cox was in the same band and now he is employed by the same people as my other half (The University of Manchester) and people keep asking if she knows him
Nice easy ones - Desperado or Hotel Calafornia by the Eagles. Both played on the dukebox when I first met my soon to be wife 21 years ago!
