Hello!! I had lovely festive period, hope you did?
My first appointment was very good. He was a lovely guy, with a soft scottish accent and a good sense of humour.
I took a list with all my symptoms and went through them with him…he asked questions and made notes.
He did some neuro tests, then arranged for me to have an MRI brain scan. I had a blood test on the day.
I took my husband with me for moral support.
Good luck with your appointment
Thanks Blossom. Had you had an MRI scan before? I have already had one quite recently.
I appreciate the feedback, quite nervous. That’s a good idea about taking a list.

I’m also under a Rheumatologist and had a MRI scan under him…cervical (neck) twice.
With the neuro, I’ve had three MRI
So are you going for results of your scan? what area are you in? I’m in York, under Dr Heald
Sorry for the delay in responding! I have had he results, this is where we talk about the possibilities and what can be done. Nervous!!
I’ve just had my first one too… The Doctor was nice, a bit stiff, but he talked through what was happening and treatment a little bit. To be honest, the best thing for me was meeting the MS Nurse… She was loads more human, friendly and asked how I was feeling (not how my MS is doing)… I cried a bit and she gave me a hug MS Nurses rock, so I hope you get a good one too

I look forward to meeting my nurse too. I have heard so many good things about the nurses. They are the real heros by the sounds of things!
I already suffer from anxiety so now that Thursday is fast approaching i don’t know what to do with myself! Still, it is all for the best, that is what I keep telling myself
All the best for Thursday. What type of MS have been diagnosed with?..mine is primary progressive, so no meds.
Any chance, you could book yourself in for a nice neck/head massage, to help you relax. I’m sure you will be fine
Hi Blossom, I am the same. I am hoping we can at least discuss meds for the spasticity. That would be really helpful.
Thanks for the advice, both of you.
Just to let you guys know, it went well!
