Just a quick question. Diagnosised since August 2012 and would like to know can people wit MS use slendertone. You prob seen the adverts were lazy people (me) use a belt to help tone the stomach with little charges to tone muscles. I have used it before I knew I had MS.
Hi, can’t be a great help, I’m afraid. But thank you for reminding me I have a Slendertone ab belt, which I haven’t used for years, just needs new batteries. I’m going to get it out today & enjoy a bit of a tickle on my tum, which still has sensation. Can’t see what harm it could do.
I also have a power plate, which really helps - even just to stimulate the circulation on a bad day. These are used for MS therapy centres.
I also do yoga 4-5 days a week at home, which really helps relaxing, stretching and tone. I can now do my toe nails, where as before I could not. I fancy trying pilates next. At home again with a DVD. From ebay, of course, as I like value for money.
Good luck & do whatever you can manage without making any symptoms worse. A little at a time, frustrating, but really is the best method.
hi all,
just wondering if any of you tht have used the slendertone, noticed any difference in your tummies plz?

I thought Slendertone was some manner of diet drink. It does occur that maybe using such a device could precipitate the badly named MS Hug.

I can’t see the harm in using it tbh, although I think it may caution against use in ms if you read the instructions. Nevertheless I wasn’t put off and I bought one but it just didn’t fit tight enough around my waist to use so I sent it back, couldn’t find a smaller one either. Since you have it why not give it a go and just start with a little bit at first. Cheryl:-)
