Skating ..no ms today

Hi After getting DX on Monday , I’d already promised my little girl ( pud ) as I call her, we could go ice skating today, my wife said just tell her you don’t feel like it…but I promised so we went , I can’t skate and fell over 3 times and after 2 hrs and Macy’s D’s for tea, I’m home tired and broken and it was BLOODY FANTASTIC I was just a normal dad with my beautiful little pud x Great day Gray xx

Thanks Gray - you have put a smile on my face. So glad you and Pud had such a great day. May there be many more.

Hey happy days, good for you!

good for you Gray.

doing fun things with our children, and granchildren in my case, sure does make every day worth living.

keep that smile going, for you and for pud.

Good for you, Gray!

I have to say, the mere thought of skating gives me sweaty palms.

I tried it once, when I was about 15 or 16 (well before MS), but was so hopeless I spent the whole time clinging to the rail, until someone who must have been an instructor took pity on me, and took me round, and charged me only a kiss!

I still didn’t get confident enough to ever go again though.

Tina

Glad you both had a good day. I used to love skating but had given up before being diagnosed with ms. My children have never been. Cheryl:-)

I’m so glad you had a good time Gray. I cherish normal days out with friends and family.

I’m with Tina on skating - both on wheels and blades. My friends used to take me roller skating but gave up when they realised I couldn’t even stand on the blooming things. They took me round once and then left me in the middle of the rink, I promptly fell over and had to crawl to the edge whilst the experienced skaters literally jumped over me! It still gives me the shivers to think of it.

Ice skating - tried it just the once (the things we do for our kids) and luckily my son hated it as much as I did so never had to go again. It’s no surprise my balance is so rubbish now - I’m not sure I ever had much of it in the first place …

Good for you Gray

I used to go roller skating in my younger days, never could master the art of ice skating.

Your a brave man…I hope your not too sore

So glad you and Pud had a good time Gray.

My sons still have good memories of our times skating at Bristol Ice Rink.

Good for you!
