she`s happy

Hi all.

A week ago our eldest daughter moved back home…to the loft conversion bedsit, we built for her when she was 16…she`s 48 now.

As an adult, she hasnt had the best experiences of adulthood and her 2 kids went off to uni last week. She didnt want to be on her own. She hasnt got the best of health.

So she asked us if she could come home…of course we said yes.

Shes just come downstairs and said, I like it up there! She said shes never slept so well for years.

Thats cos shes got an emotional safety blanket wrapped round her.

And to think I felt my job as a mum was finished when my 2 girls left home and got married. Then I had a few years babysitting our grandkids…until they grew up too.

Theres nowt like mum and dads tlc to bring one out of a bad lot.

I feel so useful again!

Oh that’s lovely Poll for all of you, and it’s a lovely feeling to know you are useful.

Age doesn’t come into it I suppose, once a Mum…always a Mum, enjoy that good feeling.

Knew she’d feel better once she got under your roof. I mean, who wouldn’t?

I’ve been wondering for months now if Boudica would adopt me!
