Looked at the supplements - and read more about cinnamon. l do a lot of baking so have always had little jars of spice in the pantry.

From what l read - it made me realise that some of my ‘jars’ l have had for years, and so really need chucking out, as the spice will be a bit stale. Even though it is in the dark.

So l ordered 500g of Organic Ceylon Cinnamon from Amazon. And l will start using it - as a drink like Adrian does- and also add to my cup of coffee. Might also add to warm milk at night. Shall also sprinkle it in other things l cook - as it is also good for diabetics and OH is diabetic.

The 250g bag - the postage costs more then the spice - that’s why l chose to get the 500g.

I take cinnamon in pumpkin pie format.

It certainly cheers me up, especially when accompanied by a glass of Port

Mmm. I’m not too happy with my supply. The first batch was how it should have been. Light brown and sweet smelling. This batch is darker and not so sweet smelling. I have told them and I will be sending them a sample back. I’ll let you know.

I think the active ingredient is curcumin which is in Turmeric aswell. I got bad dreams with Turmeric though.

ZX Spextrum. I used to have an Atari. It was brilliant. I used to play the tennis on it.

Good luck with it and tell me how you get on.

l have started having some hot milk with cinnamon and a bit of sugar - to drink at bedtime. Really enjoying it. Hoping for benefits from it as well.

As a chronic insomniac - who for over 33 yrs - since diagnosis - l only sleep for about 3/4 hours a night - and not in one go either. Tried ‘everything’ - But - l did sleep for longer last night - and felt more active this morning.

That’s good. I sleep pretty well myself. I only sleep badly if I a have too much caffeine. I find that it’s really good for cognition and puts me in a better mood. If you take it with Omega 3, it is really good as they both have similar anti-inflammatory properties and Omega 3 has the good mood effect too.

I’m glad that you are enjoying it.

cannabis (with a good, full bodied red wine) is good for insomnia

Cue admin disclaimer. …

nothing wrong with due diligence (unless it undermines the veracity of the statement preceding it)

Cannabis for the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis

As some forum users will be aware, the MS Society campaigned for Sativex, which has been found to be safe and effective in trials, to be made available through the NHS http://mssoc.uk/1PwNgew

The MS Society would welcome a thorough review of the medicinal use of cannabis. However, the simpler solution would be for NICE to conduct a full technology appraisal of Sativex, looking at all the evidence available.

We must remind those based in the UK that cannabis remains a Class B drug. This means that it is illegal to possess, supply or produce Drugs penalties - GOV.UK

The MS Society does not condone the promotion of illegal activities on the forum.

Thank you

No promotion of illegal activity over here; merely the statement of fact;

The use of cannabis for the promotion of good sleep has been around for millennia.

Why cannabis remains illegal (and so many harmful, addictive and expensive pharmaceutical products are quickly dispensed) can be speculated upon, until those willing to debate the subject are marginalised as being simple conspiracy theorists.

Ho hum… but thank you for the warning admin; a helpful link included now as well.

Btw three 1/2 tspns is too much. It is very antibiotic and is pretty harsh on your stomach. I am taking two now which seems to work well.

hi welshboy

is ‘the ms anger’ what it says on the tin i.e. a feeling of despair, irritation and frustration? i ask as i have this quite frequently…

cheers fluffyollie

Yeh. I just get rage. It’s horrible. I tried cinnamon and it really helped but don’t take too much, it’s pretty harsh on your stomach.

thanks for the reply adrian, and sorry to hear you’ve been having this.

is the best cinnamon the same as per above post?

Ha ha. No, there’s no life after love. Yep. Ceylon cinnamon. I would take two 1/2 teaspoons a day. I hope it helps.
