Just wanted to do a share. I have just had a pretty horrible nine days. I don’t know if anyone else gets this and I am sure that many do, when you get the symptoms of confusion, depression and anger at the same time. I have had this for the last nine days and, for me, it is one of the most frustrating and debilitating set of symptoms that I get. I woke up about nine days ago in an absolute rage. I think that I had overdone things the prvious day. I had a go at about four people and pretty much couldn’t do anything for the whole week. By the end of the week, I had got so depressed that I just didn’t know what what to do. I have taken cinnamon in the past, so I thought I would give that a try. I took about half a teaspoon in hot water and almost immediately these symptoms started to subside. Over the last couple of days I have been taking this twice a day and my mood and cognition has got a lot better. I must have a lesion in a part of the brain (the limbic systsem?) that deals with emotion. I know that cinnamon has really good anti-inflamatory properties, so it must be helping to relieve the inflamation.
I just wanted to share , just in case anyone else finds this helpful.
…and - no disrespect intended so sincere apologies if that’s how my curiosity comes across - is just one week not a bit soon to report something as being beneficial ?!!

I have taken cinnamon before and I haven’t really noticed the benefits but it does have proven anti-inflamatory properties, as does tumeric and ginger. I had the symptoms for nine days and then I took the cinnamon, I could feel the symptoms subsiding almost immediately. They are conducting a trial at the moment in California as to the efficacy of cinnamon and MS. It’s health properties are very well known. I am not saying it is a panacea, I think that it has just helped with the inflammation and if it has then I am very happy with that and I will keep on taking it.
Hi Zoe, the taste is pretty disgusting. You could add honey. I just swig it down and think of the benefits.
Just tried my normal hot chocolate with the cinnamon in and its lovely, so its almond milk, a tsp on almond butter, cacao powder 1 tsp, and then the cinnnamon so we will see if it makes me a bit happier, been on a downer this last week to, so lets see xx
