I’ve had cinnamon for ages on warm milk ( a tip I got from Kirsty Alley a couple of years ago) , I didn’t know it’s benefits, I just love cinnamon taste. Xx

Are you using the regular cinnamon powder that you can get from the herbes & spices range in the supermarket?

Hi Minnie,

You shoud use Ceylon cinnamon, if you can get it. The one that Schwartz produce is Casia cinnamon. This has coumarin in it.

I’m using Suma organic cinnamon which I got from a small independent shop. I’m sure that you can get it online. I’m sure that you can use Casia cinnamon for a bit.

Thanks,

Adrian

Thanks Adrian

And here was me thinking there was just one type of cinnamon powder lol

Well I checked my cinnamon, and it just say “ground cinnamon” is there much of a difference?

Hi, I’m in the middle of a relapse, numb and pins & needles from the waist down. Day 11 of it now & I’ve just come across your post. Had a mug of boiling water with cinnamon & honey about half an hour ago. I can honestly say I feel 100 times better! My legs feel almost normal. That’s amazing, thanks for the tip  off to buy more cinnamon tomorrow.

Oh brilliant Nadia. I’m glad it has helped. It must have very good anti-infalamatory properties. Do you use vit B12. That’s another good one.

Minnie, the one by Schwartz is Casia cinnamon. This has coumarin in it. I think that it is safe to use over a limited period but I would get the Ceylon cinnamon which doesn’t have coumarin in it and is quite a lot sweeter.

Thanks,

Adrian

Well I gave it a go, it was tesco’s own brand.

I think I’ve worked out how it works, the taste isnt good so its a distraction technique  lol

And don’t drink the very last bit, wasn’t nice :-\

I will give it a try, I know if for any reason I miss my anti depressants I feel awful the usual reason for missing them is that the fat forgetful fool who orders them online … wait a minute that’s me, I am not fat! Yes you are and your forgetful.

Excuse me while I listen to the voices in my head arguing.

Citalopram are the tablets I take but Cinnamon sound worth a go.

Have you tried St John’s Wort Hoppity and Omega 3 is good for mood.

Hi Jen,

I have been on St John’s Wort for six years, HRI Good Mood. It has really helped me. I know that women taking the pill shouldn’t, as it stops the pill from working. I am on Copaxone and my nurse knows that I take SJW, so I don’t thrink that there are any contraindications.

As I have said, I use Suma Organic Ceylon cinnamon. It seems to have really good ant-inflammatory properties. You can get it online. I’ve been taking 1/2 tspn in the morning and 1/2 tspn in the evening in hot water. I was a bit of a wreck last week but now feel a whole lot better.

Hope that this helps.

Thanks,

Adrian x

Just ordered my organic cinnamon from sri lanka…cant wait to try it … have been using bog standard one to now.
