Hi all, first post. Admitted via ED last week with symptoms of optic neuritis with left peripheral double vision, pain with eye movement, face numbness, left arm and leg numbness and walking instability, vertigo, extreme fatigue. History of aura migraines, restless legs amongst other things.
The MRI report says “several age appropriate T2 hyperintense foci within frontal lobes bilaterally with greatest on right”. Waiting on outpatient neuro review with ‘working’ diagnosis of MS given. I’m 51yo. Any thoughts?
You’re going to have to wait for the neuro review. “several age appropriate T2 hyperintense foci within frontal lobes bilaterally with greatest on right” suggests what’s found is what might be expected for your age, but they will consider the MRI along with your symptoms and prior history, and maybe do other physical tests etc and take it from there. Hopefully they will reach a diagnosis but they may want to do further tests etc.
