HI ALL, DOES ANYONE ON HERE SELF HOIST INTO BED ETC, I AM NOW HAVING ONE FITTED ARE THEY EASY TO USE ANY TIPS OR ADVICE WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECIEVED, THANK YOU IVAN.
Hi, I have ceiling track hoists both in the lounge and bedroom. I am able to sling up and hoist myself into bed. But I can’t dress/undress myself, so I need carers.
Is it a ceiling hoist you are meaning, or a portable one? I wouldn’t be able to use the latter by myself.

Hi Poll, thanks for replying it is a fixed track, isn’t it hard to get your chair in the right place when you want to get back into it but i suppose you get used to it or do you ,i am the same i need carers to help undress and dress, can you put your sling on by yourself ?thanks Ivan.
You will get more used to it. The same applies to putting your sling on. It takes a lot of energy to sling up. Sometimes I leave the sling under me, if I am going to be transferring soon.

Hi
I had tracks/ceiling hoist fitted a few months ago, they are brilliant.
I can use them on my own but due to the MS find it difficult so mostly my partner puts the sling in place.
