Hi all, can anyone please suggest a good blanket for use on a scooter, it needs to keep my legs warm and be waterproof/not liked by rain! Thank you.

Hi Catt, I’ve been looking for a good poncho for mine! I googled ‘poncho for mobility scooter’ and got a bunch of sites selling them… so I assume it will work for blanket as well.

Also try googling ‘blanket for wheelchair’ as they will most probably be ok for scooter too.

If you or anyone comes across a brightly coloured, fleece lined, waterproof poncho… let me know!!! (they are all navy or grey).

Hi, I bought a poncho to wear when in my wheelie outdoors…well Id look a bit daft if i wear it indoors, eh....tek no notice of this drivel.............where was I? Oh yeh, so I got my poncho and its good as it drapes over the back of my chair, hence my clother keep dry.

But one day, it was really peeing it down and my feet felt cold. The rain had run down the front and where the poncho stopped, the rain soaked my feet. When it is cold and thats usually always where my legs and feet are concerned, I wrap a fleece blanket round myself. I have thought about getting something to waterproof it, but havent found the right thing yet.

I don`t fancy a waterproof cositoes,that would be fun (not) when I have to get out for a wee.

Hi again. I have just ordered a waterproof blanket from ebay. It measure about 4ftx5ft, so there`ll be a good amount to tuck under me. Cost is £6.97 with free P&P. It should arrive in about 5 days.

There are oodles on e bay, so have a google and see for yourself, eh?

Catt, try googling ‘travel blanket’. Usually a tartan blanket that goes over the knees and smaller than a normal blanket.

Try ebay and search for waterproof blanket - there are loads.
