I’m absolutely petrified for tomorrow. Got my first MRI scan to check for ms. My symptoms over the past 3yrs have been. Loss of vision, numbness and tingling like pins and needles, pain when walking then on Saturday slurred speech and stroke like symptoms which lasted 2hrs and was rushed to hospital. I’m so scarred it’s untrue which is silly cause 3yrs ago I was diagnosed with leaukemia and I’ve battled that well. I’m scared that they are going to find nothing and I’m am making things up. Lately I’ve been lightheaded and also a bit difficult to get my words out. How long do the scans take to be reported in pls x
Hi. I know there is no point in me saying dont be scared as it is a scary time for you. Tomorrow unless you have an appt with your neurologist i would not imagine you will get your results but in case you do and to be prepared if you think they will doubt your symptoms write down a very brief list of your symptoms and when they have occurred. Eg March 2012-vision effected for two weeks Fed- 2013- slurred speech If the mri scan shows lesions then that will be an indicator of m,s. I was in hospital on both occassions i had mri scans so it was within a few days i saw my neurologists. Sorry i know i havent really written anything that will help you but i wanted tell you i know how scary this time is. Well done with your battle with leukaemia.

I had mri last week on head and cervical spine and it lasted about 40 minutes.Wasn’t the nicest experience, but had to be done, just the being scared of the unknown but honestly, you will be fine, just breathe and keep calm. I found the noises the machine makes interesting, just kept thinking positive all the way through it and you have panic button so you can get out at any time. Let me know how you get on.x
MRI wasn’t to bad to be fair. Just the agonising wait now for results. I don’t even know who the results will go to or how long I can expect to wait for the results. Thanks for letting me know how the MRI was x
I come home from the MRI and fell fast asleep for about 3hrs never slept that long for a nap. Feel quite refreshed now few floaters in my eyes but nothing major least I’m not slurring anymore lol xx

The MRI was fine thank you just have to wait for the results. I hate waiting I’m scared it’s something more serious hopefully I will find out soon thanks for asking x
