Scared

Hi everyone,

For the last 10 days I’ve been having tingling feelings in my arms mostly at night or evening time and they go away by midday. Sometimes I dont have it for a few days and then it comes back. My muscles (mainly in the legs) have been twitching and the first time it happened was about a week ago at night and it kept waking me up. Since then, my muscles twitch randomly but just slightly. Yesterday I felt the tingly feeling in my left leg and it didnt go away until earlier today.

I am so afraid. Im only 22 and doing exams soon and can’t think of anything else. Since the first night I have not stopped googling ms and I am so convinced I have it. I have my first doctors appointment tomorrow but I’m just wondering does this sound like a good chance that I have ms?

Im also known for being a hypochondriac ever since my mother died when I was thirteen. But these symptoms are real. Mild, but they are there.

Thanks guys,

Annie. x

Hi Annie, Just wondered how you got on at the doctors. Faith

Oh Annie, Firstly you are not a hypochondriac. You suffered a major trauma at just 13 yrs old which believe me, I know, causes all sorts of triggers physiologically and physically as a knock on effect. Years later these events can start to show in various ways and other stressful situation such as your exams may just trigger more episodes of symptoms, whatever the cause may be? As faith says, how did you get on with the GP? Do you have someone to talk to about everything? Best wishes Ally x
