Well at last I’ve had my letter about mri results. Simply saying they’re normal and that I don’t need to be seen again. I am trying to think positively about this. Of course I don’t want MS and I know I’m lucky I don’t have it. I just hate having m.e and looking for other answers gave me hope. However I’m trying to be optimistic. I have hypothyroidism, so maybe that’s not being treated enough. I was shocked to see how unwell a lady I knew became simply because she was very lacking in vitamin D, and as I know I’ve been deficient in this in the past, I’m going to concentrate on my vitamins. Also in the past I’ve been upset if anyone’s suggested anxiety, as I thought that would suggest my symptoms are in my head. But now that I understand that anxiety can cause real physical symptoms and I have noticed that sometimes my symptoms fallat a time when I’m anxious or even excited, then I’m going to be mindful of this also. I’m writing this partly in case it helps anyone else looking for answers. I want to thank everyone for their help and for listening to me repeat myself a lot in past posts! Hope everyone keeps as well as possible x
That’s great that you have had normal results. Keep positive re your m.e. and hypothyroidism. Look after yourself and all the best for the future. Daffodils x
Thank you x
It’s good news of course Daisy. But I do understand that sometimes there’s a bit of a negative reaction to ‘normal’ results. It’s as if having MS might have given you a more understandable physical crutch to hang your symptoms on (not to mention more drug therapies to help you manage them).
Best of luck with your management of ME and hypothyroidism. Maybe you should get all your vitamin and mineral levels checked by your GP, not just vitamin D, but the B vitamins too in addition to your TSH and thyroid levels. I’d also make sure your calcium level is OK, absorption of vitamin D does require sufficient calcium.
If you go and talk it through with your GP (assuming you have one who’s approachable), you can get a complete overhaul of your various vitamin and mineral levels.

Thank you Sue, you’ve explained how I feel very well. I do would prefer a diagnosis which others don’t question, if I’m going to have these symptoms. I can see though that even if you are diagnosed with MS there are still people that don’t understand, or think they do, but don’t. Thanks for advice about the vitamins, I will definitely look into it x
