Sativex and it's availability

Hi
Can anyone help/advise me?
I was diagnosed with RR MS in 1998 and SP about 3 years ago.
Spatisity and stiffness are a real problem I have terrible trouble sleeping, waking up with twitchy legs and a heavy feeling - probably caused by the muscile tension. I was wondering about Sativex - is it possible to buy in in England? I have been told that you need to exhaust all other treatments before you can referred to a clinic in London who can prescribe. I would rather go straight to a marjuana based drug then take all the others first. Can anyone advise? Many thanks

Hi Tricia

Again, I always use cbd for pain relief. Don’t talk me out of it and argue if you haven’t tried it yourself. Because CB1 receptors are in the central nervous system, including the brain and everything that affects it, they also affect the brain. Because of its connection to them, THC causes psychoactivity. The endocannabinoid system consists of enzymes whose main job is to break down cannabinoids after they reach their target in the body. And yes, https://hub420.shop/product-category/shake/ here I always order products and if you haven’t tried it don’t tell me or convince me it can’t be used all the time.

Hi Trish,
I’ve just joined this forum and noticed your query. I was diagnosed with RRMS in 2013 then to secondary in 2018. I’ve had leg spasms for 2-3 years and have fought for the Sativex. I’ve tried 5 different medications (which you have to do) all of them failed. Eventually I got it but unfortunately it didn’t work for me (one of the few that it doesn’t). It was a long and hard fight to even be considered and only certain hospitals can prescribe it. All I can say is, it isn’t easy!!

Thank you all. Got sone great information. :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi Kazza
Thank you for your post. I’m really sorry it didn’t work for you.

I’ve actually had a minor breakthrough as far as jumpy leg go.

Before I go to bed I stretch the muscles on the top of thighs. It’s a really intense stretch (always painful) - it seems to relax the muscle and therefore dramatically reducing the spasms. It’s not 100% effective but at least now I can sleep a bit better.

Magnesium sorted my problem with restless legs and is a useful mineral, so no harm in trying.
