Hey Moogle - sorry to hear your news. Don’t know your history. Are you on any meds? If you’re still relapsing on them could you ask your neuro or ms nurse if there is an alternative that might be better for you. Don’t like to think of you suffering like this. Gentle hugs Min xx
Well I am on alot of different Pills and been on rebif for years and just started a different brands of it now.
I am worried as I have only 2 more days of steroids and I feel no different what so ever… I am hopping I have not damaged my nervs with the injections… the ones that fo into the muscle.
As one week I was in loads of pain and the A & E said I went through alot of nervs which damaged it… and now the numbness has spead all over the bottom part of my body.
Just one little bit of news once stopping the steroids they do continue working for some time. I do feel for you and hope that you get your feeling back very soon. Have you been back to see your gp, he may prescribe another course of steroids, worth a try. I wish you well very soon and send you loads of (((((HUGS)))))
Your gp may give you a lower dose of steroids if they feel you still require them? My MS people really did not want to start me on steroids so lived with the numbness instead. Was this the better answer? Am not sure but at least one less medicine so early in my condition.
I have called the doctor today and he said he put me on a high does of steroids which is 5 big pills a day all at once.
It is hell as it gives me the very worse heart burn and constipation…
Anyway he said that the steroids would of worked by now if they were going to and there is not alot I can do now until I get to the hospital as he fears this is not going to recover this time now as I have entered the secondry stage which may not recover easily…
He said he would give me more steroids until I get to the hospital on the 19th but they should of started working by now…
I feel 4 everyone with MS as not only do we get all this but the goverment have 2 be so crawl!
I am paying a mortgage with only dla to my name… ESA think i am fit for work and i have to wait a total of 15 months for an appeal…
I know loads of us are like this and the stress does not help recovery! I hate to sound mean but its about time they get a taste of their own medicine!
Hi Moogle, Would it be possible for you to get Income support and even get a reduction in your council tax, try every trick in the book, it’s worth a try. The government doesn’t give a darn about the sick, that is unless you can pay. Please try to stay positive go to CAB, ring MS Helpline, maybe someone can give you the help you so despertley need.
