Rebif question

Hi all, I’ve recently decided to try Rebif as opposed to Aubagio which I was offered after doing as much reading about Aubagio as I could. What I would like to know if possible is what I will get in my first delivery and if I’m likely to get the RebiSmart device (I want to play…lol). Thanks for reading, Louise.

I Louise,

I’ve been on Rebif for many years now.

You should receive a sharps bin, Rebismart, Batteries and Rebismart. Please don’t forget to store you Rebif cartridges in the fridge.

Your MS nurse wil train you how to use it.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Hi mem, That is very helpful. Thank you very much  Louise.

No worries Louise. I just hope you don’t suffer difficulties from Health Care at Home. Recently they have been unreliable.

All the best

I’ve read various posts about Healthcare At Home (none of them particularly good). Unfortunately they will be delivering my meds, I did make a point of asking my MS nurse if it would be them and mentioned that I’d heard bad things, she pulled a face lol. Apparently there is no choice as to who delivers it so everything is crossed that there are no problems - I won’t hold my breath though. Thanks again, Louise

Good morning Louise,

I am suffering problems from HAH. My Rebif will run out this Friday. They haven’t replied my emails and won’t pick up the phone. It’s made me so stressed that’s almost made me ill.

Should you ever be in a similar position please don’t waste your time in calling HAH, they won’t pick up. Just call your MS nurse to chase them up.

Hi For some reason BUPA delivers my rebif. Never any problems. I wonder what the reason is for which company delivers. I just thought BUPA delivered everywhere. Hugs Min xx

Bupa delivers my rebif too and they are very reliable i always have my injections delivered a week before i’m due to run out. Maybe you could swap suppliers if you asked? x

Hi Min and holf12, Thank you for your replies. I assume that cost is the reason for some deliveries being done by Bupa and some by HAH. I would hazard a guess that HAH are under cutting most companies on cost and so are awarded contracts that way which is unfortunate for all patients who are having problems with them. My MS nurse isn’t impressed with HAH but she said there is no choice about who delivers so I guess my PCT are more bothered about cost than efficiency. I will keep my fingers crossed. I am still waiting to hear anything at all about my first delivery at the minute which is causing strange dreams
