Rapid weight loss

Does anybody know if sudden loss of weight, particularly of muscle tissue, is a symptom of MS? Or is it more likely to be related to my recent dietary changes? I have been diagnosed with MS for over 40 years and am now in the secondary progressive phase. I have not eperienced this before.

Sorry, don’t know - but one thing’s for sure: sudden, unexplained weight-loss definitely means a trip to the surgery to let the GP have a look at you.

hello, well if your immobile due to MS, there will be muscle loss, but rapid loss should be investigated. Maybe your new diet is to blame.

See your GP. yeh?

Thanks for your comments Alison and Boudica. Looks like GP needs to be involved like you say.
