question relating to syptoms

Hello good afternoon, hope all well, just joined ms page, the reason for post, currently having a change in my health these last few months, which has brought me to this forum.

Intially, experiencing a facial pain, in left lower gum seen dentist , feels not dental related, but perfirmed a dental filling to suspected tooth, well now have tingling crawling sensation in left side if face daily, sometimes in head also , uncertain dentist has referred me to maxillofacial specialist in july, to see if facial nerve condition, but while the facial syptoms have occurred, at the same time, experiencing similar sensations of tingling pins and needles, in feet, legs, and hands, with occassional zaps of electric like jolts in each part of body, more so, at rest and trying to sleep. Now prior to all these feelings,i do suffer from anxiety attacks, and have questioned could i be causing the syptoms with worry and stress, but in honesty I have not felt ever like this before, and not coping well at present, i have reported my facial pain to gp, been given carbamazpine 100mg, and amtripyline 10mg, but did relate about the syptoms in limbs etc but gp does not seem concerned to go further with tests.

This is now my 2nd month with syptoms, and no improvement or change, the best description it feels like ants are crawling over legs, hands, feet, face, so joining this page, is to gain knowledge and learning if my syptoms are similar to ms condition, and how members get diagnozed, and sent forward to the correct specialist for further investigations,

Thanking for taking time to read this post, and allowing me to talk over my concerns . Regards.

Hi Hollypet,

So sorry you feel like this. I to had the same problems with the gp they were laughing at me, calling me a liar but it is important to keep strong and adamant. Now I have got that by with I will tell you what to do keep a list of all your symptoms, how long you have had them and whether they are a new symptom or an existing symptom. Give the list to the gp and ask for blood tests and a referral to a neurologist. I was angry and persistent with my GP for 3 years before he started to take me seriously. And by doing that I just got a diagnosis of MS.

Hope this helps

Robert.
