This is just a small problem, but for some reason it bugs me.
Point 1 With some posts it is hard to know if it is male or female you are replying to,and there is nothing in there profile to help you.People use mens name but are female, and the other way about.
Point 2 An idea of the persons age would also help, for people that grew up in the 50s or60s against people that grew up in the late 80s or 90s it is like chalk and cheese,we think differently too.One telly, one phone, and no other gadgets life was a lot harder then.[get the hankys out]
Any little bit of information would help, not asking for there life history, just a little snippet,of them.
Can understand why some people post Anonymous, not a problem.
Is it just me or do other people think this way too,or is it an age thing.[hope it is not just me]
Only joking. Seriously, though, I’m not particularly interested in knowing a person’s age of where they wear their lumps and bumps - particularly as a profile might be completely made-up anyway!

Watch it you whipper snapper this child of the 50s has gadgets. LOL
No, the age of a person and their gender is not required for you to know how to speak them on a message board.
I don’t speak to an old man any different than I do a young woman, they both have MS, why does anything else matter? Or have we turned into a dating site while I wasn’t looking?
-Im nosey too. Id also like to see if people on here have been diagnosed as some havent.
There is a point that younger msers (not all you understand) tend to talk about DMD’s and seeing their ms nurses whereas older msers tend not to know much about DMD’s and dont often or never see their ms nurse (if they know they exist). Also the majority of older msers have stopped seeing their neuros for various reasons, so you could say likeminded people have a lot in common and sometimes, just sometimes age does matter - senior and all that.
PLEASE DONT THROW TOMATOES AT ME its only myyyyy opinion.
I would like to see a moanometer for every time someone moans. When you view profiles you will be able to see how many moans they have posted and have a leaderboard ha.
Hi Chris and everyone else. I would also like to see a bit more info about people, it helps a bit with regards to things like if someone is considering retirement, the advice might be different for someone in their sixties than for someone in their twenties. Cheryl:-)
Fair point(s) Chris, but 'cos I’m lazy I just try to answer the question and won’t bother if it looks like somebody has provided a decent answer.Obviously the PC Brigade have played the ‘Confidentiality Card’ and don’t want people being honest and open in a public forum. This place was not designed with the users in mind, and that is what happens when an ‘off the peg system’ is purchased.
Rebecca - if you click on email alerts on the first post, you’ll get emails when someone replies to the thread. The reply might not be to you of course, but it’s better than nothing!
I completely agree with you about being able to see people’s older posts - it was on the old forum and I used it loads!
