Hi all. I haven’t been on this new look site very long. I was a regular visitor on the old site and my user name was mushybrain. I don’t recognise too many of the names on this new look site. Wondering if any users have changed their user names or have a lot of the previous users left? I left for a while as I didn’t like the new look site but am getting used to it now. Noticed that there is nowhere near the activity that there was on the old site.

Welcome to this site. I am still Corkie, I wouldn’t be able to remember a new username LOL. I think some others have changed their names but there are also plenty of originals.

Hi Pat,
In theory your username on the ‘old’ site should have been transferred to the ‘new’ site. I’d check to see if you ‘old’ name still works if you want to use it again. If you can’t remember the password you can request a new one, which will be sent to the email address the username was registered with.

Greetings Mary,since the RttR(Reply to the Reply)facility was taken away and the rigorous application of confidentially guidelines and SOVA (Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults) this site is very different to the old one. The difficult two month launch of this place appears to have caused many of ‘the old guard’ to have left.
This is an ‘off the shelf system’ and in this age of technological advancement, is in my naive and simplistic opinion a backwards step.People must be heartily sick of me getting all mushy(I remember) about the old place.Still this place serves a limited purpose and does help people.The culture is different on here,but sentimentality has no place in this ‘Techno age of improved communication’

Thanks everybody. I do remember all of you. There are an awful lot of our old pals missing. I often think of Jools54. I did private message her quite a while ago because I missed her on the board. She sent me a reply saying that she had deteriorated and wasn’t on much. Often wonder how she is. Now I am gone a blank (happens a lot) I remember the lady who died r.i.p. whose little boy died and she never got over the grief. Her avatar was a ladybird. Her daughter used to post on the forum as well. Maddening that her name escapes me. Does anyone remember her name.

i am lucky to have met many of the old ‘bored’ users in person and am still in touch with them
