HI all, has anyone tried a powerplate? my physio has said they are benificial for ms peeps… Tony…
I love the power plate! I used it twice a week before diagnosed to help with my running now use it to help strengthen my left side affected by relapse that led to diagnosis. Have a 10 minute routine that fab lady at gym put together for me but I feel it is really helping. Physio at my neuro team also said its important to keep up with any kind of exercise but to do little and often rather than doing myself in!!
i use the power plate at my ms therapy centre and also at my gym.
i only do 2 sets each of squats and lunges because it really brings on the fatigue.
worth a try

I have a little one At home I go on it every day for a minute overtime, plus when my PLS starts it’s brilliant, I don’t do the things I could do when I first bought it, I used to sit on it especialy if i was constipated (sorry TMI) but now I would not be able to get up so now I either stand on it or sit on a chair in front of it and put my hands on it.

l purchased mine about 6yrs ago from idealworldtv - lt cost me about £150 - l think they do cheaper ones now. ln just 15mins you can have a complete workout. Good for core muscle strength. lt is not a huge machine - can easily be stored behind the settee. l do different exercises on it - mainly based on pilates/yoga. lt certainly keeps all your muscles working well.

I have a Wii Fitness board for balance and things like that. It adds fun to your excersising!
i tried it brought on fatigue, not that day but the next
This the Wii fit? I must admit it is too easy to get carried away with using it and end up fatigued! I blame trying to keep up with my 12 year old daughter (who is a dancer with surplus energy) She uses the posture and being still modes which with no balance is a challenge for me!
Ooh I’ve thought about getting one of these…I might invest in one. X
i bought one, and only used it twice, because it made me feel really ill, after going on it.so i wasted about £100.
