Afternoon shipmates!
Some of you know I’ve been having some Argy bargy with Royal Caribbean cruise company.
Just to quickly fill others in with what’s been occurring and to let you know the latest…
Me and my beautiful Bev are going on a mini cruise next month. Last month i contacted RC to book an accessible excursion into Bruges.
I was telephoned by their Miami office to take my payment. Did that…Forgot about it till 10 days ago, when my bank statement came. I was horrified to see RC had been into my account 5 times!!! Yeh, 5 chuffin times!
They’d taken my payment of £91.44 twice, refunded it in two halves and then taken £360.40p!!! I know!!! Chuffin rediculous, eh?
I rang the bank, they said before they investigated, I’d have to find out what the charge was for.
I rang what i thought was RC’s office in UK, but it was chuffin Guatemala chuffin City!!!
They don’t have offices in UK!!!
They denied having taken the £360 and told me to ring another office. I did so and you can guess where that was!!! Not UK!!!
In amongst these calls iwas also ringing the bank, not getting very far!
An email arrived from RC, telling me to fill a form in to allow them to investigate, as they had no record of what had happened.
Then i rang my travel agent.,The Disabled cruise club. I had booked the cruise with them, but not the excursion.
The lady there ,Dolly, was incensed and sprang into action. I’ve got my £360.40p back and now she is trying to get me some comp! Dolly and Polly! What a combo, eh?
What had happened was, the sales clerk had used MY card details to pay for the next customer’ s purchases after me!!!
What a tale, eh? And they say worse things happen at sea! I chuffin hope not!!!
