PIP makes me want to cry & doesn’t actually care about independence

Very unfair because they seem to base assessments on the time you’re fine. Their scoring criteria doesn’t accommodate relapsing-remitting conditions at present.

You can see it from their point of view: it would be open to so much abuse from people who overstate their conditions and then when challenged, could turn around and say “well I was having a good day”, but that’s of no help to you.

Isn’t MS Soc campaigning about PIP assessments right now?

Hi GCCK.

You are absolutely right unfortunately there are people that would abuse the system and RRMS is a very difficult thing to prove that someone is abusing the system, equally they should understand that if that is a possibility that proving your struggles could be challenging.

It’s really made me feel deflated and almost now has me worrying that should things get worse quicker than expected will I be refused again in future and where would that leave me and that is a very frightening thought.

I thought I had read something a while back when Bojo was in office but I think that was a person on behalf of rather than MS Soc perhaps there is been something further?
