Phone Consultation to get MRI results, good or bad sign?

Hi, I’m totally new here so not sure if this is the right place to post but here it goes anyway…

So basically I started getting dizziness 2 years ago & was diagnosed with Labyrinthitis and got told it would go away after a few weeks. My symptoms have since worsened and after seeing a ENT specialist was told a lot of my symptoms were MS like but could be something completely different, she said she wanted to send me for a head MRI to rule out MS or a tumour, I got the MRI last Wednesday. I received a letter today saying I have a phone consultation appointment next Wednesday, so basically I’m just wondering if anyone has ever been given bad results over the phone? Obviously I’m thinking good news as I would have expected a face to face appointment if anything was wrong but my hospital is 2 hours away so unsure if that’s why it’s over the phone. My letter didn’t say anything about the results just the time & date of my appointment. Thanks in adavance for any reply’s.

I think its just pandemic related than any good or bad sign. Others have similar experiences in here i think My first neurologist appt is to be by phone too Good luck

I had results over phone. Personally preferred it as meany hubby could listen in (he wouldn’t have been allowed to come with me in person due to COVID restrictions).
Good luck with the results!

Hi Anon,

All I can advise is to stop worrying as this will not do you any good. Worry and deliberating about whether the results are good or bad will not change the results. Just think positively you are getting them next Wednesday.
I hope that they are good for you

Min Xx

Just realised I’ve written meany hubby - should say ‘meant hubby’ - he’s not a meany!
