Pain control in MS

Hi all,

I was diagnosed with RRMS about 18 months ago but was also diagnosed with clinical isolated syndrome about 10yr ago so have been living with MS for just as long. Im on alot of meds for chronic pain control but im constantly having pain flares daily (bad stiffness spasicty). I dont know who to contact about this (ms nurse,GP) as gp im registered at are for a better word ‘useless’. Looking for advice on this.

I would say definitely speak to your MS Nurse

You could also try the pain clinic, as they can help with chronic pain. Your GP can refer you, or your ms nurse. I hope you get some help with this as there’s nothing worse than being in chronic pain all the time.

As per HankDogs I would speak to your MS nurse. I find Baclofen and Nortriptyline help me.
