Pain across right collar bone

Hi just wondering if anyone can help I lately I have been having a terrible pain across my right collar bone at first it came and went now it’s more or less there all the time was have had r/r for 12yrs now and just wondered if it was ms related Thankyou in advance.

Hi Bubbles

Could it be the result of something you are doing to compensate for nerve damage/problems? Sometimes we don’t even know we’re doing strange things with our bodies because of MS. So whilst it could be related to actual nerve issues, it’s just as likely to have been caused by something you are doing, even sitting in a chair that’s not quite right.

It does depend on how disabled you are from nerve damage as to what effect it has had on your musculoskeletal system. But I for example have caused pain in my upper arm muscles from leaning very heavily on a walker, even with the minimal amount of walking that I’m capable of.

Sue

I have collarbone pain from an old injury but it is made worse by leaning heavily on my stick or walker as sue has suggested , but if you are not using any walking aids it could be worth getting it checked .

Thankyou both of you I only use my sticks when I’m really bad on my feet so I will rule that out,I will book an appointment with my gp to be on the safe side although it will take 2-3 weeks to be seen sadly.
