Optic Neuritis/Neuropathy

New diagnosis and before diagnosis

Hi there,

I had optic neuritis 5 months ago and have been told I won’t regain my sight in my right eye as the optic nerve has been too badly damaged.
Along with this I have really bad tinnitus in my right ear and have regular migraines.
I have days where the vertigo feeling is so bad I feel overwhelmed with dizziness.
I had an MRI in July and a repeat MRI just last week which I am waiting on results from.
My LP was negative and I don’t have any mobility issues.
I was wondering if anyone has had similar and been offered DMTs to prevent or put off the chances of MS?
Although I don’t have MS right now my chances of being diagnosed in the future are high.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

I remember being in your shoes in spring 2014 accept my optic neuritis was not as bad as yours if I could turn the clock back I would stop having aspartame stop having dairy products and start taking a strong dose of vitamin D and omega-3 because the drugs are only available if you meet eligibility criteria including relapse rate and diagnosis
