One for the ladies please.

I am desperate to find a comfortable bra.

MS hug is the bain of my life I seem to get it for weeks on end with hardly a break between and I just cant bear tight clothing of any kind.

At home it is no problem but with warmer weather I find many clothes need a bra under or look awful and embarrassing so anyone found a bra that is not too toturous please ?

I have tried sporttype but need a 44c and most sporty bras stop long before that size.

Thanks

Elljay

hmmm you could try to get one made that would fit better, and not be too tight in the wrong areas. maybe a bikini top to get some kind of support but not too tight. a wrong fitting bra might make the problem worse, so best to try on different sizes to see what might fit better and different styles. some styles might be better than what you are wearing at the moment.

you can get sports bras in that size if they helped, lots of places online have them. put 44c sports bra into google and stores come up at not bad prices

def stay away from underwire bras, that will not help. embarrassing or not, if not wearing a bra is the solution, I wouldn’t wear a bra so I am not in pain and if other people had a problem with that, tough for them. often it is the other person embarrassed for no good reason.

hard giving advice on this, since I am the opposite with the hug, tight clothes help a bit. hopefully someone can help you better

I’ve been wearing breastfeeding bras from mothercare for a while now, I’m a 40g the range includes the softest cotton ones I’ve ever found, ok not sexy, pretty lace numbers, but practical. Alternatively belvia type are quite comfy and come in XXL but I’d try one first for size. Pull it over your hips, don’t try to put it on over your head.

also if your’re a 44c you must have a very large ribcage and wide back and smaller breasts, are you absolutely certain you’re wearing the right size, I remember reading that most women aren’t, but M&S stores will measure you as will big department stores like John Lewis.

If you have access to an Avon rep or are happy to buy online you could try their ‘One Bra’. It is not under wired and has no fastenings - you put it on over your head. It has soft shaping padding which you can take out if you wish.

As someone who has always worn wired bras I was sceptical, but it is very comfortable and supportive. You do need to know that the sizings are not overly generous - if in doubt go for the larger size! Avon always accepts returns.

I wear something similar to what Sue suggests. Got mine in Sainsburys. It’s just a stretchy elastic thing - looks more like a crop-top than a bra. It’s just stretchy lycra and is so, so comfortable! I hate bras. All bras go bad. These stretchy elastic ones don’t! The large or x-large would probably be a good size for you. I’m a 40d, and the large is fine for me, and not tight.

Found a link for you - they come in three colours. Hopefully the link works. I will be devastated if they stop making them!

Big thank you to you all for these replies.

I will take a look at them all and surely find something which works for me.

I did get m and s to measure me so size should be right … I just cant bear anything around my ribs when I have the hug which is more and more these days.

Off to browse bra,s now

Thanks again
