Watch out as you get older and less or no mobility, one day gibbering then rushed to hospital giving three pints of blood on arrive, three weeks unconsious then come out after more than 3 months with only a stump of left leg (amputated 3 inches above knee), no chat from amputation team, deep joy, is there no end to fun
Hello Corrie,
I’m so sorry to hear your sad news (it is a shocking development) but I hope you continue to recover and that you’ll get the adaptations you’ll need to help you.
Thinking of you and hoping that you’ll find the strength to cope.

Thanks for the sympathy, it was mainly to warn MSers of what could happen due to blocked arteries thanks to lack of mobility, also, if in pain with the black bits of limb don’t let the doctors hear, after the operation and back in St John’s my wife asked a doc why did things progress so quickly, she got the impression from him it was me who wanted leg off that I had wanted it when I said, in acute pain, the should cut it off, the thing is, I was attached to that leg for a number of years, the only good to come out of it is that I have a job playing Long John Silver in a film, I am also thinking of starting a company that seeks to find left legged amputees with right sided ones to swap shoes-saves one being thrown out, same with socks-but the best offer I had was when my 12 year old grandson said he’d make a cabinet at school so I can display my leg
