Hello Mac51

Welcome to the boards.

I was diagnosed this august…I’m 57. I can think back over the years now and probably relate a lot of symptoms to ms but who knows.

Are you waiting to see a neurologist? Older people can be diagnosed with ms, usually with primary progressive, which is my diagnosis.

Take care, xxx

Thanks Blossom …i waiting for my GP to decide if he’s going to refer me or not…ive asked him to. Have a good New Year xxx

If you’ve asked him to mac and your having neuro type symptoms then your gp will have to refer you…he would need a good reason not to.

In the meantime keep coming on hear for support. There a lots of great people always happy to chat and offer support and even a few laughs.

Happy new year to you

that should have been keep coming on here lol x

My next door neighbour was diagnosed at 65. I hope you get to the bottom of your problems.

Most people who get diagnosed later in life usually have PPMS. Also having a head MRI will be a waste of time as PPMS is usually not noted on head MRI i was told this by my neuro. Its a lot harder to diagnose PPMS but not impossible.

You need to look back waaaayyyy back and i bet you sometime you had a symptom of MS.

My first one was in 1980 when my left arm kept going numb for no reason…then i had all kinds of things happen over time.

What are your symptoms if I may ask?

Hi Golderngirl62 My symtoms range from numbness in my left hand and arm, balance (feeling as if ive been drinking but haven) falling over, blurred vision that comes and goes and a few problems with my water works and a few male problems. Im not sure what PPMS is. Thanks for any advice

I’m primary progressive like I said above goldengirl. I have multiple brain lesions and lesions on my spine…were all different though

Hi Guys just an update, ive finally got my GP to refer me to a nurologist, he hoping to send me to the National Nurological Hospital in Queens Sq London
