Not sure if this is Ms but could be functional...?

Hi there, I’m new here… I have been having balance issues for nearly a year now and dizziness that comes and goes. I have pulsate tinnitus in my right ear that also comes and goes. A couple months ago had to go to an after-hours clinic due to severe neck pain and not being able to move my head (torticollis apparently). My GP says vestibular migraine but have recently developed double vision and black spots that come and go but seem to be triggered by light. I have also had this weird thing where my legs violently shake when I wake in the mornings, sort of like a seizure but only for my legs (not every morning, about 4 times in the past 2 weeks). I have also recently noticed pins and needles in my hands and feet which sometimes extends up my left leg and it not related to position. Just wondering if this sounds like it is consistent with MS or not? Should I go back and seek a neurologist referral? TIA!

Hi Isa, I’m no medic and my layman’s knowledge is relatively limited. Just going on my personal experience I wouldn’t have said this sounds like MS. However, although there are often similarities, each person’s experiences of MS is different.

My suggestion is that if the pins and needles are recent then go back to your GP and tell him/her. Also keep a record of various symptoms to show them.

I should add that I have had significant emotional trauma over the last year.

I have no idea, but do have a suggestion. Keep your phone close to the bed or wherever you are when the thing with the legs happens, and video it to show to the doctor.
