Northern bites.

Hello good people.

I was on my travels again over Christmas. After a diet of pie and chips, I’m detoxing with some welcome fruit and vegetables. I’m not knocking pie and chips; it was magnificent. Here’s the first part of my trip if you wish to read it.

Watch out for getting on a taxi!

Best wishes.

This Forum has degenerated into a pit of hedonism and depravity.

Good, isn’t it?

A fascinating memoir.

Are you sure virgin tea really is virgin?

Did you ever see Paul O’Grady’s mum and auntie? They puffed on a few Woodbine’s!

Oh Steve, your writing is always a pure joy to read! I fall between musing about my own ability to travel confidently, anywhere, unaided, only a fairly short time ago, and actually laughing out loud, as your beautifully worded accounts conjure such vivid images in my mind. I could almost hear the distinctive noises in the station and the, erm, dulcet tones of the shouted, “Sabrina!”. Brilliant. Do let me know when you are accepted by a publisher please.

Birkenhead market used to be worth the trip, street theatre. Not sure about now,but it used to be an entertainment, just to walk around it. Probably like all the rest now, where they are not allowed to call out their wares.

A refreshing oasis in a stale crabby day…

If that’s how you define pie and chips it makes them taste even better.

Happy new year Anthony.
