No news is good news??

I had an MRI just over 3 weeks ago. I called the neuro secretary today to chase it (yes I am very impatient) and they said the results aren’t back yet. Apparently the wait time is 4 to 6 weeks but I assume someone has a quick look at them before putting them on the pile of things to look at later so I’m thinking no news is good news. Would you agree?

To be honest, I don’t know. For some or several reasons it does take weeks to get results. For the last 18 years all mine have been positive/ no change . I can’t remember how long it took to hear about the first one but I do remember getting frustrated at the wait

I also have no idea, but hope you find out any results soon. Hoping you receive good news - take care in the meantime and go gently with yourself.

No news is definitely not good news. I don’t say this to scare you but I had an MRI after my first set on symptoms and I didn’t hear anything back about the results. Because my symptoms soon resolved I presumed no news was good news too. But then fast forward 2 years, 3 relapses later when I was then diagnosed, it transpired that if that early MRI hadn’t of disappeared, I was likely to have been diagnosed a whole 2 years earlier. My advice is always to give it enough time to be processed but then keep chasing. MRI results can and do vanish. Good luck!
