Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice. I’ve been experiencing night time jerkiness I don’t know the specific word to describe them lol
I start twitching when I get into bed which is fine no bother but I wake in the night when I’m turning and it seems like I am trying to push back a brick wall. My body jerks around until I get to where I need to be. I woke up this morning and my shoulders were jerking and a week ago after shall I say some night time excursions
my entire body was twitching and jerking like I was having a seizure.
I do wake up exhausted and in pain so I don’t know if it’s happening all night so any advice would be grateful. I’m assuming it’s ms related?
I would suggest talking with your ms team or your GP. I’ve been experiencing spasticity and spasms in both legs, they arranged for some stretching exercises and diazepam for the spasms which has really helped. But I was also coming down with an infection, that my body was unable to fight off due to my DMT to was eventually put on antibiotics.
So it could be down to the ms or it could be down to an illness and it’s affects on you.

Thank you I hate calling them not because they are not lovely and helpful but because I feel like I might be wasting their time
it’s a bit concerning only because I have a 8month old and when I wake up I feel so out of sorts.

It’s difficult, but there’s different muscle relaxers you can take. Speak with your GP first if that would be easier as they can prescribe this medication to assist you. Hope you get some relief as it’s not nice to deal with.
