Only ordered on Tuesday getting next Wed! Decided to go for all the bells and whistles as there are no holidays,no football,no theatre etc. So no trains and tickets to pay for, not spent on fuel during this lockdown got the refund on insurance, so not too bad!
WOW that was quick…so what car have you gone for ? x x
Oh Maud,
How exciting - what are you getting?
I’m getting a phone call tomorrow to arrange ordering my new one.
Motability wrote saying, due to the covid 19, as long as you have 6 months left of your award you can order. a new car.
Spent today getting all the paperwork together. Same as you, the ££ I’ve saved being at home means I’m getting extras. Top of the list is a heated steering wheel again, couldn’t drive without it now!
I have a Ford Focus auto estate so my scooter fits in the back. Getting the same again.
Worth putting car brand and ‘special offers’ into a search engine. I can get premium paint and 8’ sat nav screen at no extra cost.
Enjoy your first drive out.

We’ve decided to try the Kia Xceed, remember talking to one of their execs at Las.Vegas airport years ago but having had a deeply unfashionable at the time Hyundai (which was amazing) I love the panoramic roof and even though it is irrelevant the 7 year warranty!..I am hanging on to Maude the Mini (SORN at the moment) I love Maude, she is my dream car!
When they open hotels off to see the kelpies and the Falkirk wheel. Kia Xceed, no on will miss the house! they miss the 10 inch numbers though, bright yellow car…bit of a clue!
is it me, but why don’t I understand what you’re talking about ?
Well the car is bright yellow so nobody will be able to miss it, they do miss the 10 inch high numbers at the moment! When they open hotels will be going to Scotland to see the Falkirk wheel and the Kelpies…is that clearer, too far to travel and will need to stay over.
Oh Maude,
Car sounds great- you need the stick on flowers to make it really stand out, I’ve got some on my walkers!
I went to see the kelpies (giant metal sculptures of horses heads) and the Falkirk Wheel - lock system , like a wheel to take narrow boats from one canal up to another one). Fantastic day out.
I went in my wheelchair and the staff at the wheel were very helpful.
Have fun.

I think it is bright enough already! lol been wanting to see the kelpies for ages, we have a bull and a horse with wings on it’s feet, close by often take a detour to see them on roudabouts!
All sounds very positive and exciting. Have you got your holiday accommodation sorted Maude? There are loads of great places in the group I help run…Limited Mobility & Wheelchair Friendly \Holiday Accommodation.

Hi Poll, yes to accom but, change of plan Lincolnshire 1 st to check ou one particular village and bungalow, still thinking about selling to HS2.
Oh, so you`re affected by HS2…wonder if it will go ahead. Might be the right time for you to move to a more suitable house.

The house is perfect, that is why we moved here! This route was not announced nor did it come up on the searches, or would not have moved! It is not so much the train more the fact that whilst building access and egress to what is left of the village is going to be very difficult! Only good thing is we come under their ‘need to move’ category…But maybe they will realise people can work in different ways, as has been proved!
Very exciting.
In the eighties, I bought a yellow Fiat 128 estate. It was called Dennis the Flying Custard.
It cost me £350 and £7 to get it through its MOT.
Class.
I had a 126, I called it many things!
