I am new here and I’m sorry if it doesn’t sound like MS but I sure there’s something more to symptoms I’ve been having and I’m not sure if any of them link with any that people with MS have.
I had loss of vision in my right eye then it was very blurry and my peripheral vision went too. It was very wavy and disorientating. I also experienced significant pain particularly when I moved my eye. However this only tends to last a day.
Other symptoms I have include pins and needles in my arms and legs, fatigue I’m tired all the time, balance issues when I go to stand up or on stairs, weakness all over really, and numbness and tingling in my shoulder blade.
This could be nothing related to MS but I have now had that eye experience three times and unexplained symptoms are causing issues daily. I am going to contact the GP tomorrow to try and get an appointment as I think that’s probably the best thing to do.
Definitely start with the GP. Yes, it could be MS, but it could also be something simple like a pinched nerve. Go through your doctor first, then see if he wants you to see a neurologist or orthopedist. Make sure you explain to him exactly what you wrote in your post.
Sorry to hear that you are going through a rough time. We would all be guessing to tell you the truth. They are symptoms of ms but they could be symptoms of something eles. Go to the hospital x
Hello Hannah
As the other respondents have said, definitely start with your GP. There could be a simple answer, like a vitamin deficiency, if your GP thinks there’s a neurological problem, they’ll refer you to a neurologist.
What might be a good idea is for you to start a diary. You could begin by thinking back as far as you can, attempt to put some dates on symptoms; when they started, how long events carried on and where you are now. This should help you to explain it to the GP, also to any specialist(s) to whom you are referred.
Let us know what happens or if you have any problems we could help with.
