I have RRMS and have been feeling nauseas for the last month and GP has now referred me for endoscopy. I take amytripyiline for nerve pain and am on Avonex, but have been for a long time so I don’t think the nausea is related to the meds, GP has prescribed Lansoperazole for acid but this has not helped at all so don’t think the problem is acid related. I wake up nauseas and shaky everyday which lasts the whole day and was wondering if anyone had similar symptoms that have been related to their MS??
I get this with my MS.I had a nasty relapse years ago where the main symptom was nausea and i just could not eat for months i lost over 4 stone because of it.I get the odd few days where i feel really sick.
So funny that you guys should post this - I have bouts of dry retching & feeling nauseous as well & feel rubbish this week actually, tired, sick, cold - To put it in my terms, “i’m sick & tired of being sick & tired” I’m not losing any weight (unfortunately) but feel sick on & off
I was wondering if this was due to a relapse how are you coping with the nausea?
It may be a symptom of our MS as a few of us have had similar problems, how long have you been feeling like this and how do you cope with the nausea?
I did wonder if this may be a symptom of our MS, I’ve had a word with my MS nurse she seems to think the Amitripyline may help with the nausea so fingers crossed, hope you both keep well Jaydee and Redman
yes, have feelings of nausea and loss of appetite - have always assumed it to be m.s. related.
Try making ginger tea and see if that helps.
I do take prozac (60mg) and it can cause nausea as well - it is a side effect of it,they tell me.
Will give it a try thanks
Nausea oh the joys. i have bouts of that and drink ginger beer which helps. I tend to do something to take my mind of it. I am sure its listed on the things we get sadly.
Just wondering have you had the nausea last as long as 5/6 weeks, I have had it in the past but not longer than a few days, I’ll try ginger beer see if that helps thanks
