Hi just a quick question , had my review letter from specialist through and it says all planters are mute , does anyone know what this means?? Thank you . Sarah x
It means there was no response when he scraped the soles of your feet. A normal adult response is for the big toe to move down, towards the sole of the foot. An abnormal response is for the big toe to move up, away from the sole of the foot. A mute response is also usually abnormal.
If you google “Babinski’s sign” you’ll find out loads about it.
