Music-Which tracks/ artists do it for you?

Yep Hurt = 1 powerful song , Led Zep good stuff

Hi Tracyann

I like music for it’s own sake from Classical, Opera, Light to Heavy rock but if I am reading or writing or concentrating I need absolute silence. I would love to play the violin, some hope LOL

But too much of the music one likes can be a bad thing;can it? Remember what happened in Clockwork Orange but that was in an extreme world.

I heard a tune on desert island discs called Piper in the Meadow. ( old fogey I hear you say) It cheered me up

Patrick

I love lots of different music tracks and loads have memories for me-some good, some bad. I remember when I was having the MRI scan to give me the MS dx back in 1997 the track they kept playing as I was inside the scanner was “Breakfast at Tiffanys” so now whenever I hear it it takes me back to those scary days.

I love Queen-“Don’t stop me now” makes me feel really detemined, I like The Killers “Mr Brightside”, REM “everyone hurts”, anything by Snow Patrol and my all time favourites are Deacon Blue. I love all their tracks especially Dignity and Real Gone Kid- they remind me of my uni days when I went to see them and had no cares in the world then.

Cathy

Benny Hill - Ernie, The fastest Milkman in the West (you could hear the hoof beats pound as they race across the ground …)

Keith Mitchell - Captain Beaky and His Band (Hissing Sid is innocent)

David Bowie - The Laughing Gnome (Here, what’s that clicking noise? - That’s Fred, he’s a “metrognome”, )

Strange songs but I loved 'em

Hi Patrick!

You carry on listening to whatever you like. If it works for you- so what! You really must endeavour to take up the violin. Personally, I would love, love, love to play the cello. I play the piano, but I’m not grade 8 standard, I’m afraid.

Best wishes

Hi Sheep!

I love Cash’s Hurt. Makes me cry every time. Led Zeppelin are one of my all time favourites- When The Levee Breaks played nice and loud! What’s your favourite Zeppelin track.

Best wishes

Hi. Mrs Cave!

Thanks for that Nick Cave recommendation. I listened to ‘There she goes my beautiful world’. Really enjoyed it. Definitely a track that I run to. I may be adding it to my iPod.

Best wishes

Mary

Wasn’t quite sure about that track to begin with, but once it got going it was rather good. Never heard of this artist before, but I liked it. When I’m in a Joy Division or Clash mood, i’d definitely listen to this- Good choice!

Best wishes

Hi Sheep

Grrrrr. I’m green with envy!

I used to own a white Les Paul copy. It sounded really good, but I played it really bad. I never managed to get round to taking some lessons- never found the time, so I ended up selling it. I now possess a small Spanish accoustic guitar. I don’t play that very well either, but I won’t give up the dream that I will eventually play something on it that will be worth listening to-lol!

I always wanted to play electric guitar just like Alex Lifeson from Rush- ho hum!

Happy days

Tracyann xx

Oh Man! Seriously Sheep! You taught yourself. That’s outrageous.

Yeh! I’ll join the MSers, but I’ll have to stick with the Triangle- unless you can get me a pre-programmed electric guitar-lol!.

Night night. I’m off to sleep

No problem every good group needs a triangle Tracy  im sure we can do an 80’s TOTP with miming then we all be okay
