Yes Tjh I had nerve conduction tests weird as is the VEP.
They led to being diagnosed as having MS which is a whole world of weird!
Laughing a lot helps get through it.

Hi
It’s common to have nerve conduction tests and visual evoked potentials (VEP) tests as well as lumbar puncture alongside MRI as diagnostic tools to help a neurologist make decisions about what is causing your symptoms.
You probably shouldn’t think of these tests as ‘to see if you have MS’. The neurologist won’t be testing to rule in or out specific diagnoses, they’ll be looking at the test results alongside your physical examination and history of symptoms to make an informed diagnosis. So it could be that you have the tests and MS is ruled in or out, but additionally, other disorders of the nervous system will be ruled in or out too.
Best of luck
Sue
