MS in the elderly

My mum is 85 and has been diagnosed with MS, she is in a wheelchair and has 2 carers four times a day it is costing a fortune but because she has savings she has to pay. I have been trying to find out if she has to pay for her care, the doctors have said that there is no cure she will not get better. Can anyone advise on this please also we are in the Bristol area is there any support groups that she could talk to about MS. Thank you

There are lists on this website if your Mum wants to talk about MS, the map will show you what support is local to you. In terms of the financial stuff, Age Concern are pretty good from what I understand - sorry but I don’t have first hand experience but have had dealings with Age Concern via work.

Good luck

Thank you will give them a call
