Hi i was dx over 4 years ago and in all that time i have never been to any kind of surport group .i would like to go to one so i can get some help advice and someone to talk to who knows what i,m going through.the trouble is i am not very out going tend to be a bit on the shy side when meeting new people so i was wondering .what help is available in Leeds and is it welcomming to new people.anybody got any experience of places i might be able to go to.

There is a chat group for people living in the Wharfdale Area of Leeds (Otley, Guisley, Yeadon etc) We meet on the first Thursday of every month at 6.30 in the Horse and Farrier Pub, Bridge St Otley. It’s very informal – a mixed bunch of both men and women ( a lot of groups are just women) You’ve just missed this month’s meeting but PM if you are interested in coming in March.
There is another chat group in Armley and evening socials at the Belle Isle Working Mens Club.
If you join the MS Society you will get the Leeds Branch news letter with detais of all the activities.
