Right, so, I was diagnosed with MS about a month ago currently recovering from my last relapse, I’m about 99% better but still get twitches as well as suffering with my everyday problems like back pain, fatigue, stiff knees and bad hips, so currently I feel too good to apply for disabled camping at the music festival I’m going to (even though I know I might not be this well off once it comes around) I just feel like I’ll be judged for not being as bad off as some people… Do you reckon I should forget about my worries try and get on the disabled campsite or just stick with regular camping? Also has anyone else had experience with going to festivals with their MS?
I would go for the disabled campsite; because, if you are anything like me, you will get there with every intention of pacing yourself, taking plenty of rest stops etc.and you’ll be diving into the first mosh pit you come across, dancing around waving glow sticks/balloons/ribbons/other people (if there is any crowd surfing at the event that is), end up totally knackered and having to be carried back to your accommodation by your new besties. Not that I have ever had to be carried back to my accommodation you understand
The disabled campsite should make life a tad easier at whichever festival you attend.
Thank you so much for your help, I reckon I’ll be going for the disabled camping, a short shift at work has proved how much it can hurt when you’re on your feet all day, so closer camping is finally going to be needed thank you :))
Thank you, haha, I will be trying to avoid the mosh pits, but you never know, especially when my favourite band come on how did you apply for the disabled camping? I don’t know if they’ll accept me without any kind of proof of disability.
