Oh that’s good @CocoPops
I’m going for second opinion today on symptoms and want him to do a thorough neuro exam.
I am also getting the doctor to look at my scans as well.
Does he take his time and is he thorough?
Thanks

I went and seen the neurologist today. I went and seen dr Lily at spire hospital in Leeds and he was amazing. He had the scans on the screen , my brain and c spine and the rest of the spine.
Took an examination and history of symptoms. Looked over my scans and said there are no lesions or signs of MS.
I quizzed him about the white dot I put on this thread and he said it’s “fat”, and there’s no cause for concern as it’s a T1 image and white parts on t1 image mean nothing. He said you don’t have MS. However he said that’s going to leave you puzzled to what you do have.
He said he’s almost sure I have vestibular migraines and they mimic a lot of symptoms with MS. He has practiced me medication for it so I have to take them for 1 month to see how I get on. That’s my second opinion consultation finished.
What is everyone’s thoughts, do I take this as gospel from two neurologists and move on? What does everyone think?

Thank you for this. I think the answer to your ‘what next?’ question is yes, accept this further and well-considered reassurance that there are no signs of MS.
At least you now know it’s migraine, which is still a trapped nerve in the brain. Hope you are able to get it resolved.
@Paul7890 glad to hear your appointment went well. I also found Dr Lily to be thorough.
Try reading this about Vestibuar migraine - this Menieres website is good.
Hi @CocoPops
Do you have MS or have you been diagnosed? I’m sorry if you might have already said I have spoken to so many people over the past few months.
Many thanks for the website?
I’m still under investigation. My brain scan showed 2 lesions which Dr Lily felt weren’t MS but I have had optic neuritis which he would like to investigate further (I saw him about 9 months ago). Waiting to get my next appointment but it’ll be in the new year now I think. Over the last week I’ve had a few new symptoms but they’re very subtle and I’m not currently concerned.
Interesting! I hope you get the issue sorted out soon! I really liked dr Lily and thought he was very straight to the point. Did you have a neuro examination when you went into see him aswell? Did it show any abnormalities? Thanks
I’ve seen the consultant on Friday but I’ve just felt looking back over my notes I didn’t have enough time to explain everything by to him. And thinking about and researching vestibular migraines it just doesn’t seem to Match how I feel.
Heavy legs
Weak legs
Tired legs
Buzzing sensation in feet
Previous squeezing burning sensation in my spine (which has now gone)
Muscles sore in thigh, deep thigh pains.
I find it so hard to believe that this is vestibular migraine. Yes some of my symptoms appear like it dizziness lighthead balance etc but the ones listed above certainly do not and I feel it’s all linked.
I am kind of at my wits end now I just feel like I am getting now where at all with anything. I feel now that know one takes me serious at all.
What should I do? I feel so helpless.

Have you thought about possibly trying complementary medicine and even faith healing?
I know it may a placebo effect but I honestly believe it helped me earlier on with my multiple sclerosis; I even belived I had grown out of the condition by adulthood.
I haven’t but thank you for recommending. I’ve been thinking back to my appointment and there are so many symptoms that I didn’t even get to say, I was so brain fogged and couldn’t even structure what I was doing. I feel like I am going crazy! Apart from lightheaded, dizzy, balance and sensory issues I just feel the doctor has got the whole picture of what I’m feeling wrong. See my most worrying systems below, how can these be vestibular migraine???
Legs feel heavy when walking around like as if they’re something attached to them.
Legs feel like they could buckle at any time.
Legs feel weak.
My thighs sometimes feel tight - I ran up the stairs at work on a few different occasions as soon as I finished and went to sit down my thigh muscles started to tighten and pain inside in thighs and slight twitching.
Left big toe sometimes moves by itself when I am lying down in bed I notice it.
Legs become restless very easily.
When I go to run my knees hurt.
Buzzing sensations like a vibration feeling in the soles of my feet.
Sometimes I wake up and my muscles feel tight on my legs for no reason without any exercise the night before.
For a about a week around the thigh area close to the knee felt weak and tight and slightly numb.
Parts of my body go numb very easily and develop pins and needle sensations sitting on the bike makes my left big toe go numb, sleeping in bed at night I will sometimes wake up to a numb/dead arm and hand left or right l, within 10/15 minutes it will go away.
Few occasions I’ve woke up with numb/ pins and needles left big toe and fingers in my hands the same feeling, without applying any pressure. Goes away after I wake up.
Random feelings of sometimes like my two legs are heating up or like a hot feeling goes into my legs. Feels like it starts from the bottom of my back.
Right hip pain, gets a bit feeling with a full ache.
Leaning on my arm light makes it tingle.
Sometimes feel like my hands are stiff or get tired easier when doing things.
M
I have had previously a squeezing buzzing burning sensation in my the middle of my spine. When I bend down or push it it felt tender.
Random pins and needles in the centre of my back.
On a few occasions I’ve been out for a walk and I’ve felt a build up of pressure in my lower back.
I really do feel like my body is operating slower than it once used to. Everything has slowed down.
Bladder pain when it’s full and felt like shooting pain into my bladder.
Fatigued all the time and watery eyes.
I’m now thinking because the MRI Scans were done May/June it hadn’t give enough time for the lesions to even show or develop, because some of the symptoms I wrote down above have only started. I just find it hard to even think vestibular migraine can do this to you. I can’t accept it. So sorry for the rant but I’m at my wits end now!
