I’ve finally received my MRI results from my neurologist today. I’ve had nothing but problems with the hospital and mixed up appointments etc but finally feel a lot better today. Ms has been suspected for a a while now. Although not out of the dark yet but it’s looking in the brighter side but also I’m still no closer to know what’s going on ha. I’ve told him the although the main symptoms I’ve had are still there (just over 6 months constantly now ) some have subsided. I did have tingling in my groin area and face which is now intermittent not constant and the muscle spasms have started to slow down. I’ve received my blood test results which show my vit levels have been fine and I’ve had some nerve conduction studies which I’m waiting on results still. I do have L4/5 L5/S1 bulges and right forminal stenosis with sciatica which I knew about. Ur the brain and top spine results are in which have shown I have a 12mm cyst on my brain which wouldn’t cause my problems and apparently is just a common cyst so nothing to worry about but he thinks it’s just been inflammation on the spinal cord and because I have numbness and tingling and loss of sensation in my legs feet arms hands and fingers which ATM nothing else is showing as the culprit he thinks i could be left permanently with these symptoms or the could go back to normal but I’ve got a 6 month check up and if I’m still the same he will do a lumbar puncture to make sure things are normal and maybe another MRI and on the condition I ring back if things get worse or ring his secretary straight away if I suffer from another episode. I’m happy but in the other hand still non the wiser n left with knowing I have a cyst on my brain x
hi rachel
well in a way it’s good news to not have ms but on the other hand what the heck is causing your symptoms?
as for the cyst, your neuro is not concerned so neither should you be.
brains are the most marvellous, complex things.
is there any medication which could help your numb, tingling bits?
good luck, be sure to ring back if any other strange things happen.

He has said it’s not fully ruled out as things are not always seen on scans etc for years and it could be things like mn etc. There is certain medications I could take but I’ve tried them and not recipes any benefit so I’ve said no. I don’t want to be popping pills if I don’t have to. I’m soo stumped with my symptoms and it does get me down from time to time but I have to look on the positive side. Thanks Carole for the reply x
