Moving back to the UK

Hello, it has been quite a while since I last posted here.

I have been living for the past several years in the Mediterranean and there is a possibility I might have to move back to the UK for personal reasons. When I was dx’ed in 2003, my neurologist at the John Radcliffe in Oxford prescribed Rebif. Since then I was prescribed Tysabri and I was recently moved to Gilenya. I was wondering whether anyone has any advice on how (or rather if) I can go on being on Gilenya (or any DMT) since I have been away from the UK for a while now. I am probably not phrasing my question correctly but what I am asking whether it is possible to stay on the same treatment and not change medication. Is there a protocol for cases such as this one? The last time I saw my neurologist at the JR was in late 2005 early 2006 but I have not had any contact with her since. Has anyone gone through something like this before? apologies for this tangled/difficult question.

Hi, well I am not sure anyone will be able to give you a definitive answer.

I think the way I would approach this question, is to consider where I would be moving to, then google the hospitals in that area and their nueros.

You may find the name of the one you saw last. Perhaps you wont find the answer until you make the move and see your new GP about referring you to a neuro.

Hope someone else can offer a better solution.

Hi, many thanks for your message. I think what you are saying makes perfect sense. I will not find the answer I am looking for and book an appointment with my new GP to be referred to a neuro. Thanks for taking time to answer my question. Very much appreciated!
